Crises of Life - Wellspring Reads fall 2023 Registration

Crises of Life is a new curriculum in the UU Wellspring Reads: Six-Session Series. These new offerings provide foundational and transformational experiences helpful and relevant to Unitarian Universalists’ hearts and minds.

Crises of Life explores how the wisdom and understanding of our chosen faith supports us during the challenges and crises of life. It is based on the book, Take What You Need: Life Lessons After Losing Everything by the same name written by UUWellspring Creator, Rev. Jen Crow, in which she shares the life challenges that have helped form her personal narrative theology. Crises of Life also delves into the essays in The Book of Delights by Ross Gay.

UU Wellspring Reads: Crises of Life was written by Rev. Jen Crow and Rev Tina Simson. The sensitivity reader was Helen Cassara and the editor was Linnea Nelson.

Sliding Scale Program Cost

Lifespan Education is a ministry of Vancouver Unitarians. Costs of administering the program, training and supporting our facilitators, and subscription to UU Wellspring are budgeted for annually. The budget depends on the donations of members and program participants.
Contributions over $25 made for UU Wellspring Reads will receive a charitable donation receipt from the Unitarian Church of Vancouver.

If a fee of any size is a barrier to your participation, please leave the amount blank and select "not at this time" in the credit card processing fee menu.

We follow the Canadian Unitarian Council's lead on making our programs accessible. Sliding scale suggestions are designed to allow participants to choose how much they are able to contribute towards support of the program.

If you are unsure what a fair donation would be for you, check out this graphic and read a few words about sliding scale to think about:

“When I pay more, I know that I am helping others to access the event. When I pay in the middle, I know I am helping the organizers cover costs. And when I pay at the bottom, I know I am letting my community hold me and support me. All of these are wonderful and acceptable ways of participating.”
