Creating Theology Together--Series 1, Within

Our identity and theology are shaped by our lived experience. By understanding our personal theology, we can engage and deepen our commitments in covenantal faith community. Then we can name and claim our shared theology, to inform and shape a public theology that grounds our faithful actions in the world.

Creating Theology Together: Within is the 1st workshop set in a series of three.
CTT Among will run February 24th - March 13th. It explores how we define our theology together in our multi-generational community (ages 12 and up).

CTT Beyond will run April 14 - May 1, also multigenerational, exploring our relationship to social justice and how we express our theology in the broader community.
Opening Retreat with potluck brunch (required attendance): Saturday, October 28th, 10:30 am--4:00 pm
Three Wednesday evenings, 7-9 pm
November 1, 8, 15

Location: Hewett Hall, 949 West 49th Ave, Vancouver, BC

Sliding Scale Program Cost

Lifespan Education is a ministry of Vancouver Unitarians. Costs of administering the program, training and supporting our facilitators, and curriculum purchases are budgeted for annually with the donations of members and program participants.
Contributions over $15 made for Creating Theology Together will receive a charitable donation receipt from the Unitarian Church of Vancouver.

If a fee of any size is a barrier to your participation, please leave the amount blank and select "not at this time" in the credit card processing fee menu.

We follow the Canadian Unitarian Council's lead on making our programs accessible. Sliding scale suggestions are designed to allow participants to choose how much they are able to contribute towards support of the program.

If you are unsure what a fair donation would be for you, check out this graphic and read a few words about sliding scale to think about:

“When I pay more, I know that I am helping others to access the event. When I pay in the middle, I know I am helping the organizers cover costs. And when I pay at the bottom, I know I am letting my community hold me and support me. All of these are wonderful and acceptable ways of participating.”
